Heavy rain likely in Dhaka, 5 other divisions

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chattogram divisions during next 72 hours commencing at 9 am on Sunday.


“Due to active Monsoon, heavy (44-88mm /24hrs) to very heavy (> 88mm / 24hrs) rainfall is likely to occur at places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions,” said a Met office bulletin. 

Due to very heavy rainfall landslide may occur at places over the hilly regions of Chattogram division, reports UNB.

Besides, temporary waterlogging may occur at places over Dhaka and Chattogram metropolitan areas, it said.
