Dhaka, 28 Oct  - Turkmenistan emerged unbeaten champions in the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Cup after beating Afghanistan by

3-2 sets in an exciting final held at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium
in Mirpur Tuesday.

This is Turkmenistan's third CAVA Cup title, following their earlier wins in
2015 and 2018. They finished the tournament without losing a single match,
showing their strength and consistency throughout the competition.
The final was full of excitement and drama.

Afghanistan started strongly, winning the first set 25-20. Turkmenistan
fought back strongly to take the second set 25-21, but Afghanistan again went
ahead by winning the third 25-18. With the title on the line, Turkmenistan
made a strong comeback in the fourth set, winning 25-20 to make it 2-2 and
take the match into a deciding fifth set.

The last set was very close, with both teams tied at 11-11 at one stage. But
Turkmenistan kept their nerve cool and won the set 15-12, securing the
championship and completing a perfect run.

After the match, the Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M. Nazmul Hassan handed
over the winners' trophy to the Turkmenistan team as the chief guest at the
award-giving ceremony.

On the occasion, CAVA president Mohammad Latif and BNP Sports Affairs
Secretary Aminul Huq were present as special guests.

Bangladesh Volleyball Federation President Faruk Hasan, its senior vice-
president Latif Shahriar Zahedi and general secretary Bimal Ghosh Bhulu were
