Teenage girl dies from snakebite in Gaibandha

A 13-year-old girl died as a venomous snake bit her in Palashbari upazila of Gaibandha district on Monday night.


The deceased was Moni Akter,  daughter of Ashraful Islam of Ganeshpur Bazar in Kishorgari union under the upazila.

According to family members, Moni was playing in her courtyard when a snake suddenly bit her around 9:00pm, reports UNB. 

She collapsed and succumbed to her injuries while she was being taken  to Upazila Health Complex, said UP member Mohammad Imran Mia.
