Mother, two children's body recovered in Thakugaon

Police recovered the bodies of a mother and her two children were recovered on Wednesday.



Police recovered the bodies of a mother and her two children were recovered  on Wednesday morning, who went missing on Tuesday afternoon, from the Teernoi River at Ranisankail upazila in Thakurgaon 

The deceased were identified as Nasima, 40, wife of Rahim Uddin, their children Shaon, 8, and Safayet, 4, all are residents of Kashipur area of the upazila.

According to locals, Nasima along with her two children went to graze her cattle in a field beside the river on Tuesday afternoon and didn't returned home.

In the meantime, witnesses claimed that the hands of the bodies were tied with ropes together. Some of them assuming that it might be a killing while some others are saying that they might have committed suicide out of huff with her husband Rahim Uddin.

Ranisankail Police Station officer-in-charge Gulfamul Islam said after being failed to locate the trion, family members of the deceased filed a general diary with the police station this morning.

After a while, we came to know that locals spotted three bodies in the river. Being informed, additional police were sent to the spot and legal actions would be taken in this regard, the OC added.
