Police recovered the body of a teenage boy who had been missing for the last three days from a fish enclosure in Satkhira Sadar upazila on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Abdullah, son of Shafiqul Islam of Alipur Kultala village.

According to the family, Abdullah went out of the house three days ago and did not return. Despite searching in different places, they were unable to trace him.

On Friday morning, locals spotted a body floating in a fish enclosure adjacent to the family's house and informed the relatives. Family members later identified the body as that of Abdullah.

Officer-in-Charge of Satkhira Sadar Police Station Masudur Rahman said police recovered the body after being informed and sent it to Satkhira Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

The OC said an unnatural death (UD) case has been filed.

He also said Abdullah was reportedly mentally challenged.

Police are investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of death, reports UNB.
