Physically challenged youth's body found in Kushtia

Police recovered the body of a physically challenged youth from the Kali River in Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia on Saturday morning.


The deceased was identified as Rafid Hasan Kanak, 26, son of Kayum Ali of Hatsh Haripur Uion in Kushtia Sadar upazila.

Police said locals spotted Kanak's body floating in the river near Rani Ghat adjacent to Lalon Shah Mazar ground around 8:00 am and informed police.

Police later recovered the body and sent it to the Kushtia 250-bed General Hospital morgue for an autopsy, reports UNB.

Officer-in-Charge of Kumarkhali Police Station Md Jamal Uddin said the exact cause of his death will be known after the autopsy report is received.
