Aricha-Kazihat ferry plying halted from foggy Sunday night



Manikganj,Jan. 02 2023 - Poor visibility caused by dense fogs disrupted ferry movement in between Aricha -Kazirhat has been remaining suspended from Sunday night.

The ferry movement in between Aricha -Kazirhat was suspended from 9.30 pm on Sunday BIWTC Aricha Ghat DGM Shah Mohammad Khaled Newaz said.

All the ferries of the route were asked to remain stationed at terminals or on the midstream.

DGM Newaz said three ferries Begum Rokeya, Kunjalata and Begum Sufia Kamal at at Aricha Ghat, Shah Ali is in the middle of the river Jamuna and Shah Enayetpuri is remaining anchoring at Kazirhat.

Though there is no vehicle at Aricha Ghat, but about 200 vehicles including goods laden trucks are waiting at Kazirhat Ghat for ferrying. - Source: Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha
