Eid advance train ticket sales begin

Dhaka, July 1 -- The sale of advance train tickets for Eid-ul-Azha began on Friday morning.

Bangladesh Railway started selling advance train tickets for July 5 at six places in Dhaka -- Kamalapur, Kamalapur suburban platform, Airport rail station, Tejgaon railway station, Cantonment, Fulbaria (Old Railway Station) -- and six places in Joydevpur at 8am.

Ticket sales also began at 8am through the ‘Rail Sheba’ mobile app and e-ticketing platform on the internet. Ticket sales at the railway stations will continue till 4pm daily.

Besides, the advance tickets for July 6, 7, 8, and 9 will be available on July 2, 3, 4, and 5, respectively.

On the other hand, the sale of return tickets will begin on July 7. The return tickets for July 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 will be available on July 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, respectively.

Each passenger is eligible buy a maximum of four tickets. - UNB
