Dhaka-Chattogram Highway to Operate on One Lane Until 6am

Traffic on the Dhaka-bound lane of the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway at Asharia will operate through a single lane until 6am Saturday as bridge construction work is underway, authorities said Friday night.

The Highway Police said vehicles are currently moving through one lane at Asharia Char under the jurisdiction of Kanchpur Highway Police Station due to ongoing bridge work.

According to the Roads and Highways Department, traffic will continue through the single lane until 6am to allow workers to complete the roadwork and the newly repaired section to dry.

As a result, vehicles are moving slowly through the affected area, the Highway Police said.
