Export earnings in July-Oct fetch 7.01% growth

The export earnings in the first four months (July-October) of the current fiscal year (FY23) witnessed a growth of 7.01 percent fetching $16,853.51 million.

The export earnings during the same period of the last fiscal year (FY22) were $15,749.48 million.

According to the latest statistics of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), the overall export earnings during this four-month period, however, were 3.25 percent lower than the strategic export target of $17,420 million.

The EPB statistics also showed that the single-month export earnings witnessed a fall of 7.85 percent bagging $4,356.62 million.

Data showed the export of RMG items witnessed a growth of 10.55 percent during the first four months of the current fiscal year (FY23) totaling $13,952.34 million.

During this four-month period, the export of leather and leather products witnessed a healthy growth of 17.42 percent bagging $428.46 million followed by knitwear $7,725.12 million, woven garments $6,227.22 million and home textile $434.16 million.
