Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today held office even on weekly holiday.

"Prime Minister Tarique Rahman reached his Tejgaon office at 10:15am from his Gulshan residence and performed official duties," his Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon said.

The prime minister also exchanged views with the officers and employees of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) as he sought their cooperation in implementing his election manifesto, the press secretary said.

Prime Minister's advisers Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed, Ismail Zabiyullah, Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, Brig Gen (retd) Shamsul Islam, Dr Jahedur Rahman and Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister ABM Abdus Sattar were present at the views-exchange meeting.

Rumon said the prime minister will also join an iftar mahfil organised by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in the afternoon.

BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman assumed office as Prime Minister on February 17. Since then, he has been attending office every Saturday despite government holidays. Last Saturday, he performed office at the Secretariat, reports BSS.
