Three retired army officers appointed to Tarique’s security team

Dhaka, Jan 6 - BNP has appointed three retired army officers as directors in the security team of party Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

The appointments were announced in a media release, signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, on Tuesday night.

According to the release, retired Major Mohammad Shafawat Ullah has been appointed as Director (Security), retired Major Moinul Hossain as Director (Protocol), and Captain (retd) Md Gani Ul Azam as Director (Coordination) in Tarique Rahman’s security team.

Earlier, ahead of Tarique Rahman’s return to the country from London, retired Brigadier General AKM Shamsul Islam was appointed as the head of his security team. - UNB
