Information and Broadcasting Adviser Mahfuj Alam and LGRD Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain have submitted their resignation letters to the Chief Adviser.

Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam told reporters that the two advisers personally handed in their letters to Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna around 5pm today.

The Chief Adviser received the resignations, which will take effect after the Election Commission announces the schedule for the upcoming general election. The Chief Election Commissioner is expected to unveil the polls schedule tomorrow evening.

Following the submission, the press secretary said Professor Yunus wished both advisers—who played prominent roles as student leaders during the 2024 student-people July Uprising—success in their future endeavours.
