NCC holds another round of talks on July Charter execution

Dhaka, Oct 22 -- The National Consensus Commission held another round of discussions with legal and policy experts on Wednesday, focusing on recommendations for implementing the National Charter 2025.

The meeting took place in the Commission’s conference room at the National Parliament, where various strategies and expert suggestions regarding the Charter's execution were reviewed in depth.

Among those who joined the session virtually were retired Appellate Division Justice MA Matin, Barrister Imran Siddique, retired Justice Moinul Islam Chowdhury, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Dhaka University Prof. Mohammad Ikramul Haque, and Dr. Sharif Bhuiyan, Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court.

Commission Vice-Chairman Prof. Ali Riaz, members Dr. Badiul Alam Majumdar, Justice Md. Emdadul Haque, Dr. Iftekharuzzaman, Safar Raj Hossain, and Dr. Mohammad Ayub Mia were present at the meeting. Monir Haider, special assistant to the Chief Adviser on the National Consensus Building Process, also attended.

The Commission is scheduled to meet internally on Thursday morning and will reconvene with experts again at 2 pm. - UNB
