He said this while speaking as the chief guest at a views-exchange meeting on BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman’s 31-point state reform plan, held at Kazi Khalilur Rahman Auditorium of Jhalakathi Press Club on Thursday afternoon.
The event was organized by the Jhalakathi district unit of the Bangladesh Nationalist Research Centre.
Dr. Hyder said that the BNP’s 31 points are not just political reforms, but a complete roadmap for rebuilding the state.
“It presents realistic plans for healthcare, education, environment, economy, and good governance,” he added.
“The BNP wants to build a humane state based on an agreement with the people,” he said, adding that the 31 points were made with the belief that people are the true owners of the state.
“BNP is moving forward with the goal of building a future Bangladesh based on people’s votes and opinions,” he said.
The meeting was presided over by Advocate Akkas Sikder, president of the Jhalakathi district unit of the Bangladesh Nationalist Research Centre.
Local political leaders, businessmen, lawyers, teachers, journalists, representatives of social organizations and religious leaders were also present there at the event, reports UNB.
After the discussion, participants asked various questions about BNP’s 31-point reform plan and in response, Dr. Hyder explained the details of different sectoral plans saying, “We want to build a Bangladesh where citizens’ basic rights are guaranteed and no one is left behind.”
