Home Affairs Adviser Lt. Gen. Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.) has pledged to take firm action against those responsible for the brutal attack on students in Gazipur district.

Speaking after visiting the injured at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) this morning, he assured the public, “None involved in the attack on the students in Gazipur will be spared. We are pursuing legal action, and all responsible individuals will face justice.”

He further emphasized that he had directed authorities to ensure the harshest punishment for the perpetrators.

Five students injured in the attack were admitted to DMCH, with one reported to be in critical condition. The assault occurred on Friday at the residence of AKM Mozammel Haque, a former Liberation War affairs minister and senior Awami League leader, where Awami League leaders and activists allegedly targeted the students.
