BNP expels Lalbagh Ward leader over extortion

Dhaka, Jan 2 -  BNP’s Dhaka South City unit has expelled its Lalbagh 23rd ward president Aminul Islam Amin due to his alleged involvement in extortion and land grabbing at the Azimpur Graveyard.

A press release, signed by Saidur Rahman Mintu, Joint Convener and Office Secretary in charge of the Dhaka South City unit BNP,  said on Thursday.

It said the decision was made as per the instructions of BNP’s Dhaka South City unit President Rafiqul Alam Majnu and General Secretary Tanveer Ahmed Robin.

The press release also mentioned that all party leaders and members have been instructed to refrain from any political or organisational communication with Aminul Islam Amin. - UNB
