A Magistrate court in Dhaka on Sunday rejected a petition filed by BNP to register a case against DB chief Harun Or Rashid and nine others over vandalising BNP's Nayapaltan central office on December 7.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury rejected the petition after recording the plaintiff's statement.
Earlier this morning, Nazimuddin Alam, a member of the BNP's executive committee, submitted the petition before the Magistrate court.
On December 7 last year, a Swechchhasebak Dal leader was killed and around 50 others were injured in a clash between police and the BNP men in front of the Nayapaltan party office, ahead of its December 10 rally.
Police arrested 470 BNP activists and leaders in connection with the clash and they were sued in two cases filed with Paltan and Motijheel police stations.
