Mirza Fakhrul resigns from BNP

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today resigned from his position in the party.


Mirza Fakhrul handed over his resignation to Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman at a party’s standing committee meeting held at the Bangladesh Secretariat here today.

Earlier, in the meeting, the Prime Minister formally declared Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir as the President candidate from BNP.

BNP standing committee members Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Salah Uddin Ahmed, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, Selima Rahman and AZM Zahid Hossain were present at the meeting, among others, reports BSS.
