Govt vows livable Bangladesh by curbing social crimes: Parvez

Dr. Md. Saimum Parvez, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Environment, Forest and Climate Change, today said the government is committed to building a livable Bangladesh by eliminating terrorism, extortion, corruption and other social crimes.


He said BNP has always worked for the welfare of the people and pursues development-oriented politics. 

Speaking as the chief guest, Saimum Parvez made the remarks at an exchange of views meeting at the premises of Shibganj Government Model High School in Chapainawabganj this afternoon.

BNP and its affiliated and associate organizations hosted the preogramme, with Upazila BNP Convener Alhaj Md Ashraful Haque in the chair.

Saimum Parvez, however, sought cooperation from all quarters to achieve the goal of turning Bangladesh into a peaceful and prosperous country.

The programme was jointly conducted by Shibganj Municipal Jubo Dal Joint Convener Prof. Abul Basar and Upazila Jubo Dal Joint Convener Md Shariful Islam Shimul.

Among others, Municipal BNP Convener Alhaj Shafiqur Islam, Upazila BNP Member Secretary Md Tosiqul Alam, Municipal BNP Member Secretary Alamgir Kabir Jewel and Senior Joint Convener of Upazila Jubo Dal Ali Ahmed Babu addressed the meeting, reports BSS.

Leaders and activists of the BNP and its affiliated and associate bodies at upazila, municipal, union and ward levels were present.
