Ex-DNCC ward councillor Bappi ordered Hadi killing: DB chief

Former Dhaka North City Corporation ward councillor and Jubo League leader Taizul Islam Chowdhury Bappi ordered the killing of Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi, said Detective Branch (DB) chief Mohammad Shafiqul Islam on Tuesday.


He revealed the information at a press briefing at the DMP Media Centre Tuesday afternoon after investigators submitted the chargesheet in the murder case to the Dhaka CMM court.

Shafiqul Islam said the chargesheet accusing 17 people was submitted at the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Tuesday morning.

Of them, 12 are currently behind bars while five including prime accused shooter Faisal and motorcycle rider Alamgir are on the run, reports UNB. 

Efforts to arrest the fugitives are underway, he said.
