Ex Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan Arrested in Dhaka

Shajahan Khan, the former shipping minister and a prominent member of the Awami League presidium, was arrested last night in the Dhanmondi area of Dhaka.

Detective Branch officials apprehended Khan, according to Rezaul Karim Mallic, Additional Commissioner of the Detective Branch of Police. The arrest comes amid a series of legal troubles following the recent political upheaval.

Since the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government on August 5, multiple cases have been filed against Khan. His arrest marks a significant development in the ongoing investigations related to the political transition.
