Shahid Ahmed to play UAE series in Dubai

Dhaka, 30 Jan - Bangladesh National Baseball Team's player Shahid Ahmed will play the professional baseball league UAE series scheduled to be held in February 14-16 in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE). 

He will leave here for the UAE on February 10 and expected to return home on 
February 18.
 
Shahid, the first baseball player of the country, got the opportunity to play 
in a professional baseball league for the first time on the foreign soil.

Earlier, Bangladesh team participated in the nine-nation international 
baseball competition 'Baseball United Arab Classic 2024' held in Dubai from 
November 6-10 last year. 

Shahid Ahmed of Bangladesh team was named as the best catcher in that 
competition. Evaluating his performance, Shahid Ahmed was invited to 
participate in the 'UAE Series 2025'.

In 2023, Shahid Ahmed also took part and made training in Japan's Hokkaido
