Sports competitions begin in Joypurhat

Joypurhat, 18 Jan - To mark the Festival of Youth 2025, various types of sports competitions have begun on Joypurhat circuit house ground today keeping ahead the slogan of "Let's change the country, Change the World".

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Joypurhat Afroza Akter Chowdhury formally
inaugurated the six-day festival as the chief guest.

Superintendent of Police MA Oawab, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohiuddin
Jahangir, Joupurhat Sadar Thana Office in-Charge (OC) Shahed Al Mamun,
District Sports Officer Ruhul Alin were present, among others, in the
inaugural ceremony.
 
District Administration Additional Deputy Commissioner (revenue) Md. Sobur
Ali informed BSS that athletics, cycling, kabaddi, handball, volleyball,
cricket, football, badminton and traditional sports competitions would be
held in the six-day meet.
