National youth ranking held with domination of BKSP

Dhaka, 24 Feb  - The day-long Archery National Youth Ranking tournament held today (Thursday) at Shaheed Asan Ullah Master Stadium in Tongi with the domination of Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan (BKSP).

BKSP emerged top at seven events while Bangladesh Police Archery Club placed top spot of in the two events.

In the qualification round of U-21 junior category, Prodipto Chakma ,Touhid Hasan Tonoy and Mishad Prodhan of BKSP finished first second and third respectively among the boys recurve event while promising archer DiyaSiddique (BKSP), Rabeya Khartun (Bangladesh Air Force) and Radia Akter Shapla (Bangladesh Police Archery Club) finished first, second and third position respectively among the girls in the same event.

In the compound event, Himu Bachar, Asif Mahmud and Radin Bin Taleb of BKPS finished first, second and third respectively among the boys while Puspita Jaman (BKSP), Lamia Islam (Bangladesh Ansar) and Urmy Khatun (BKSP) finished first, second and third respectively among the girls in the same event.

In the U-18 cadet category, Abdur Rahman Alif, Sagor Islam and Rakib Mia of BKSP finished first, second and third respectively among the boys recurve event while Famida Sultana Nisha, Monira Akter and Umma Ching Marma of BKSP finished first, second and third position respectively among the girls at the same event.

In the U-15 youngster category, Huzaifa of Bangladesh Police Archery Club and Ahnaf Sakib, and Hari Bhasan Chakma of BKSP finished first, second and third position respectively among the boys in the recurve event Parvin Tisha, Sumiya Sultana Bithi and Shila Akter of BKSP finished first, second and third position respectively among the girls in the same event.

Meanwhile, archers Abdur Rahman Alif and Sagor Islam set the new national record in the boys U-18 cadet category scoring 680 after eclipsing the previous mark of 673, set by archer Hakim Ahmed Rubel.
