2nd CAS Int'l Squash to begin Aug 24

Dhaka, Aug 1 - The 2nd Chief of Army Staff (CAS) International Squash 2026 will be held from August 24-28 at the Army Squash Complex in Dhaka Cantonment.

Professional squash players from 11 countries , including host Bangladesh, will take part in this subcontinent's most prestigious squash five-day tournament, said a press release.

 According to the organisers, top players from Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Singapore, Iran, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, Japan and Germany are expected to compete in the meet.

 The organisers believe the participation of foreign professionals will not only enhance the standard of the tournament but also contribute significantly to the overall development of squash in Bangladesh.

The organizers said that despite various challenges over the past six years, planned initiatives have ushered in a new era for squash in the country. Sustained development programmes have expanded the game's popularity while enabling Bangladeshi players to progress to the professional level.

 The organisers further expressed optimism that these continued efforts have helped establish Bangladesh as an emerging squash destination on the international stage.BSS
