BTV, Betar news presenter Faruque Hossain dies

Noted news presenter of state-run Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar Md Faruque Hossain died of prolonged kidney ailments at a Moghbazar hospital here this evening. 

He breathed his last at 6.45pm, family sources said. 

Faruque was 75. 

He is survived by his wife, relatives and host of admirers. 

He began his career as news presenter during Pakistan period. He also served at Bangla section of Radio Japan for four years in 1980's. 

He will be laid to eternal rest at Martyred Intellectuals Graveyard tomorrow.
