The government has decided that special prayers and munajat will be offered after Jummah prayers in all mosques across the country today seeking the eternal peace of Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadi.

The Islamic Foundation, in a press release on Thursday night, requested khatibs and imams of all mosques to hold special prayers and munajat today after Jummah prayers.

Hadi, a fearless frontline fighter of the July Uprising and spokesperson of the Inqilab Mancha, passed away on Thursday while undergoing treatment at a Singapore hospital after battling for his life for six days, reports BSS.

Hadi, also an aspiring independent candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency, was shot on December 12 while he was on a battery-run auto-rickshaw on Box Culvert Road under Paltan Police Station.
