A man was killed allegedly by his cousins at Athalia village under Dhalla Union in Singair upazila of the district this afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Hanif, 55, son of Ela Bepari of the village. He was a driver of a physician at Momtaj Eye Hospital.

Hanif's daughter Smriti said there had been a longstanding conflict between their family and his cousins. Around 3:30 pm today, his cousins Shadhin and Jahangir allegedly attacked him with sharp weapons, killing him on the spot.
