Justice AKM Asaduzzaman made ACC Chairman

The government has appointed Justice AKM Asaduzzaman as chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and two others as commissioners.


The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Monday, in accordance with Section 6(1) of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act, 2004.

The two commissioners are Dr Jahangir Alam Khan and Dr Md Sazzad Hossain Bhuiyan.

The notification said Justice A.K.M. Asaduzzaman has been appointed chairman of the ACC under Section 5(1) of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act, 2004.

Under Section 13 of the Act, the salary, allowances and other benefits and privileges of the ACC chairman have been determined at the level of a judge of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, reports UNB.

The salary, allowances and other benefits and privileges of the two commissioners have been determined at the level of a judge of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court, it said.

The appointments will take effect immediately, according to the notification.
