'Toofan 2' Set for Eid-ul-Azha 2025 Release
The directorial hit "Toofan," helmed by Raihan Rafi, made a significant impact last Eid-ul-Azha, captivating both domestic and international audiences. The anticipation is now escalating with the announcement of a sequel—"Toofan 2."
In a recent statement, Rafi teased fans, saying, "'Toofan' was just a glimpse of what’s to come; 'Toofan 2' will be the real surprise." He confirmed that the sequel is slated for release next Eid-ul-Azha, potentially igniting another box-office sensation.
Rafi further detailed his upcoming projects, noting that "Lion" will premiere on Eid-ul-Fitr, while "Toofan 2" will follow later in the year.
Alpha-i Studios Limited, one of the production companies behind "Toofan," revealed that several scenes for the sequel were shot during the initial film's production. With only a few finishing touches left, the release of "Toofan 2" is on the horizon, though the lead actress has yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, production for "Lion" is expected to begin later this year, featuring Bangladesh's Sariful Razz and West Bengal's Jeet in leading roles, promising an exciting cross-border collaboration.
