Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film ‘King’ is creating major buzz even before its theatrical release, with the film’s music rights reportedly set to attract a deal worth around Rs50 crore.

The superstar, who delivered two major box-office successes with ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’ in 2023, is returning to the big screen this Christmas with the Siddharth Anand-directed action film.

The film’s music has become one of the most sought-after properties of the year, with music companies including Sony, Saregama and T-Series reportedly competing for the rights.

A deal worth around Rs50 crore is said to be leading the race, which could make it one of the biggest music rights deals for a single Hindi film.

With composer duo Sachin-Jigar attached to the project, the film is expected to create strong demand in the music market.

Industry sources said the deal would rank among the biggest non-theatrical agreements in recent Bollywood history. The music rights for ‘Ramayana’ were reportedly valued at Rs75 crore for two parts combined, while ‘King’ is nearing Rs50 crore for a single film.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, ‘King’ is scheduled to release during the Christmas 2026 weekend. The shooting is nearing completion, with post-production and editing work currently underway.
