Army hosts Iftar, dinner for July upsurge injured students
Bangladesh Army chief Gen Waker Uz Zaman, senior Army officials and noted people has iftar with students injured in the July upsurge
Dhaka, Mar 23 -- Bangladesh Army on Sunday hosted an iftar and dinner party at Sena Malancha in Dhaka Cantonment in honour of the students injured during the July uprising.
Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman exchanged greetings with the injured students and inquired about their well-being during the event.
The gathering was attended by the injured students, senior army officers, prominent civilians, and directors of various government hospitals.
Later, the Bangladesh Army presented Eid gifts to the students.
To date, 4,215 people injured in the July Uprising have received medical care at various Combined Military Hospitals (CMHs) across the country, with 989 undergoing successful surgeries.
Currently, 39 injured are receiving treatment at CMH in Dhaka. - UNB
