Dhaka, June 20 —The Bangladesh Army on Saturday airlifted an elderly woman who suffered a stroke in the remote hilly area of Rowangchhari Upazila in Bandarban district.

Seventy-four-year-old Ramkil Bom, a resident of the remote hilly area, suddenly suffered a stroke on Saturday and fell seriously ill.

Her condition deteriorated rapidly, requiring urgent advanced medical treatment.

As part of its humanitarian responsibility and commitment to public service, the Bangladesh Army immediately airlifted the woman by helicopter in the afternoon under the overall supervision of the Bandarban Region and transferred her to Chattogram Combined Military Hospital.
