Elderly man crushed under truck in capital

An elderly man was killed as a truck ran over him while he was crossing the Karwanbazar road in the capital on Friday.

An elderly man was killed as a truck ran over him while he was crossing the Karwanbazar road in the capital on Friday.

The deceased is Vajendra Chandro Mondol, 60.

The accident took place around 11.00am.

Seriously injured Vajendra was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctors declared him dead around 12.00pm.

Vajendra Chandro was a timber trader of Karwanbazar and hailed from Sirajdikhan upazila in Munshiganj.
