Thirteen more prosecution witnesses testified at Dhaka Special Judge Court-4 in three cases concerning alleged irregularities in the allocation of Rajuk plots, involving 53 accused, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her sister Sheikh Rehana.

The witnesses included officials from the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, Rajuk, Agrani Bank PLC, the Chief Adviser’s Office, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), and several magistrates.

In the case against 17 accused, including Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana, multiple witnesses, including Joint Secretary Zakirul Islam Khan and several Rajuk and judicial officials, gave their statements. The hearing was adjourned until 16 November.

In a second case against 18 accused, including Sheikh Hasina and her niece Azmina Siddique, seven witnesses testified. The hearing was adjourned until 23 November.

In a third case against 18 accused, including Sheikh Hasina and her nephew Radwan Mujib Siddique, another group of seven witnesses provided statements. The hearing was adjourned until 25 November.

Meanwhile, proceedings in three additional related cases—against 47 accused, including Sheikh Hasina, Sajeeb Wazed Joy, and Saima Wazed Putul—are underway at Dhaka Special Judge Court-5. Charges in those cases were framed on 31 July, after the accused did not appear before the court.

The ACC filed six cases in January 2025, alleging irregularities and undue allocation of multiple plots in Purbachal. Charge sheets were submitted in March.

According to the case documents, the allegations involve unlawful approvals of 10-katha plots and misuse of political influence in land allotments. The cases continue to proceed with witness examination across both trial courts.
