Second Gaza Truce Phase to Begin Soon: Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday he expects to enter the second phase of the U.S.-backed ceasefire plan for Gaza “very shortly.”
Standing alongside German Chancellor Friedrich Merz after their meeting, Netanyahu said the talks focused on steps needed to end Hamas’s control in Gaza. “We have completed the first stage,” he noted, adding that the coming phase “will be more difficult” but is approaching quickly.
