Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, a senior member of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Standing Committee, confirmed that BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia's health has shown notable improvement.

"Madam [Khaleda Zia] is in better physical condition than before. She continues to receive regular medical attention from her doctors at home," Dr. Zahid said.

He made these remarks while attending an Iftar gathering hosted by Zia Parishad, UK, in East London on the evening of Monday, 3 March. The event was organized to pray for Khaleda Zia’s full recovery.

During his speech, Dr. Zahid also conveyed Khaleda Zia's warm wishes for the country’s citizens during the holy month of Ramadan. "As we look to the future, it is essential that we uphold the principles written in our constitution. The nation must be governed by the rule of law and good governance," he stated.

The event was chaired by Professor Dr. Saiful Alam Chowdhury, President of BNP's UK branch. Other prominent attendees included MA Malek, the Chairperson’s Adviser and UK BNP President, Koysor M. Ahmed, General Secretary and National Executive Committee member, renowned filmmaker Jobayer Babu, and Advocate Rezaul Karim, Advisor of Zia Parishad UK.

The evening was hosted by Kabi Kawsar and Ahsan Uddin Monir, Senior Joint General Secretaries of Zia Parishad UK.

The gathering was a poignant reminder of the party's ongoing support for Khaleda Zia's health and the importance of national unity during this period.
