Ctg. Abahani earn third win in BPL

Dhaka, 20 Apr - Chittagong Abahani Limited registered their third win in the ABG Bashundhara Bangladesh Premier League football beating Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society by 2-1 goals in a match held at Bir Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj on Saturday.

In the day’s match,Nigerian forward Paul Komolafe opened an account scoring the first goal for Chittagong Abahani Limited in the 15th minute.

After the breather, Chittagong Abahani took 2-0 lead as Mamun of Rahmatganj scored a suicidal goal on the 49th minute of the match.
 
Earnest pulled one back scoring a lone goal for Rahmatganj in the 57th minute from a spot kick.

The day’s win saw, the port city team Chittagong Abahani Limited  collect  13 points from 12 matches while the traditional old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj  remained at their previous credit of  10 points playing the same number of matches.

Earlier, in the first phase, the two teams played out to a 1-1 goal draw held at the same venue.
