Sabina emerges as top scorer

Kathmandu, 19 Sept  - Goal-machine Sabina Khatun emerged as the top scorer of the 6th edition of SAFF Women's Championship that concluded Monday.

 
The Bangladesh eve football team claimed the South Asian football's supremacy after beating host Nepal by 3-1 goals in the final match held at Dasharath Rangasala Stadium here.

Bangladeshi captain Sabina Khatun, who scored two hat-tricks -- first against Pakistan in the group stage and the second one against Bhutan in the first semifinal -- was received the highest scorer award in the tournament. She netted a total of eight goals in the tournament.
 
Bangladesh scored a total of 23 goals from five matches in the tournament and conceded only one goal.
