Bangladesh face Philippines in U-17 Asian Cup qualifier tomorrow

Dhaka, 10 Oct - Motivated Bangladesh will take on Philippines in their crucial Group H match of the AFC U-17 Women's Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers tomorrow (Sunday)) at the Do'stlik Sports Complex (Pitch-1) in Tashkent.

The match kicks off at 5 pm Bangladesh time.

Bangladesh must have to beat the Philippines in their final group match to qualify for the final round, as the Philippines have a +4 goal difference compared to Bangladesh's +1.

One team from each of the eight groups will qualify for next year's twelve-team final round, which will be held in China.

Earlier, Bangladesh scored a goal in the dying moment to secure a 2-1 win against Uzbekistan in their opening group match. Thanks to Runa Akter for her timely goal that helped Bangladesh to snatch full three points. 

Philippines, on the other hand, also made winning start in the qualifiers defeating Uzbekistan by 4-0 goals. BSS
