Gazipur, Sept 20 -- A fire that broke out at a warehouse in Gazipur’s Tongi area on Tuesday morning has been brought under control, officials said. 

The fire started at 9 am inside the rented warehouse in the Millgate area of Tongi. 

Five fire tenders were pressed into service but it took them nearly one-and-a-half hours to contain the flames, said Iqbal Hassan, station officer of Tongi Fire Service and Civil Defence. 

Only a probe can ascertain the exact amount of damages, he said. - UNB
