Fire at Gazipur jhut warehouse brought under control after 3hrs

A fire that broke out at a jhut warehouse at Deuliabari in Konabari area of Gazipur on Thursday morning has been brought under control.


The fire started around 6:00 am and  was brought under control at 9:00 am.

Saidul Alam Chowdhury, deputy assistant director of Gazipur Fire Service, said five firefighting units including teams from the Konabari Fire Station rushed to the scene after receiving information about the blaze.

The cause of the fire cannot be determined yet, Chowdhury said,

A huge quantity of scrap materials has already been destroyed, reports UNB.
