The admission test for Dhaka University’s Science Unit (Ka Unit), scheduled to be held on Saturday has been postponed.

Dhaka University authorities in a media release said the university will observe a day of mourning on Saturday as part of the state mourning following the death of Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Moncho and a DU alumnus.

“As a tribute to the brave July warrior Sharif Osman Hadi and all the July fighters and martyrs who took part in the July Mass Uprising, the admission test for the first-year undergraduate programme of the Science Unit for the 2025–2026 academic year, scheduled for December 20 (Saturday), has been postponed,” the statement said.

A new date for the postponed admission test will be announced soon, it added, reports UNB.
