44th BCS preliminary exam held

The preliminary test for the 44th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS)-2021 was held on Friday.



The preliminary test for the 44th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS)-2021 was held on Friday (May 27).

The examination was held simultaneously in the centers of eight divisional cities- Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chittagong, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet, Rangpur and Mymensingh -- from 10am to 12noon.

No untoward situations were reported, said Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC).

A total of 350,716 candidates applied for the test. Of them, 1,84,339 were from Dhaka, 32,581 from Rajshahi, 30,229 from Chattogram, 25,967 from Khulna, 11,639 from Barishal, 10, 519 from Sylhet, 28,532 from Rangpur, 25,910 from Mymensingh.

BPSC said, 250 are in administration cadre, 50 in police cadre, 10 in the foreign cadre, 14 in Ansar cadre, 30 in audit and account, 11 in tax, 8 in co-operative, 7 in railway transport and commerce, 10 in information, 23 in postal, 6 in trade, 27 in family planning, 3 in food, 485 in the technical cadre and 776 in higher education cadre.
