BERC Cuts 12kg LPG Cylinder Price to Tk 1,585

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has reduced the retail price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for September.

The price of a 12-kilogram LPG cylinder has been cut by Tk 13 to Tk 1,585 from Tk 1,598. The new price will take effect from 6:00pm on Wednesday (September 2) and remain in force until further notice.

BERC has also revised the prices of other LPG cylinder sizes. The new rates are Tk 727 for a 5.5kg cylinder, Tk 1,652 for 12.5kg, Tk 1,982 for 15kg, Tk 2,114 for 16kg, Tk 2,378 for 18kg, Tk 2,642 for 20kg, Tk 2,907 for 22kg, Tk 3,303 for 25kg, Tk 3,964 for 30kg, Tk 4,360 for 33kg, Tk 4,624 for 35kg and Tk 5,945 for 45kg.

The regulator has fixed the retail price of privately marketed LPG at Tk 132.12 per kilogram, inclusive of VAT. It has also reduced the price of autogas, used as vehicle fuel, to Tk 73.09 per litre from Tk 73.67.

BERC adjusts LPG and autogas prices every month based on international LPG prices and related costs, including import and transportation expenses.
