The government has published the final recruitment gazette for the 45th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination, appointing 1,702 candidates to different cadres.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued the gazette on Wednesday night, October 14, more than 10 months after the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) published the final results.

The newly appointed officials have been asked to join their designated offices under the respective cadre-controlling ministries or divisions by November 1.

The BPSC recommended 1,807 candidates for cadre posts in its final results published on November 26, 2025. However, the gazette lists 105 fewer candidates, without specifying the reasons for their exclusion.

Among those appointed, 266 have been assigned to the administration cadre, 71 to the police cadre and nine to the foreign affairs cadre.

The recruits will join at Grade 9 under the National Pay Scale 2026, with basic salaries ranging from Tk 44,000 to Tk 105,900.

The appointments were made in accordance with the BPSC’s recommendations dated December 14, 2025. The recruits will serve a two-year probationary period, which may be extended by up to two additional years.

The gazette also requires the appointees to complete foundation and specialised training and submit declarations of assets owned by themselves and their family members.

Candidates who fail to join by the stipulated deadline, unless otherwise instructed, will be considered unwilling to accept their appointments, and their appointments will be cancelled.
