Andaleeve Partho wins big in Bhola-1

Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) Chairman Andaleeve Rahman Partho has won the Bhola-1 constituency in the 13th national election by a significant margin.


He secured 104,462 votes with the party’s ‘Bullock Cart’ symbol.

His nearest rival, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Principal Nazrul Islam, received 73,773 votes with the ‘Scale’ symbol.

In the key district seat, Islami Andolan candidate Maulana Obaidur Rahman polled 25,092 votes with the ‘Hand Fan’ symbol.

Among the other candidates, Ainur Rahman Jewel Mia of Gono Odhikar Parishad secured 1,103 votes with the ‘Truck’ symbol, Akbar Hossain of Jatiya Party received 594 votes with the ‘Plough’ symbol, Mohammad Ashraf Ali of Islamic Front got 302 votes, Md Mizanur Rahman of the National People’s Party (NPP) obtained 213 votes with the ‘Mango’ symbol, and independent candidate Rafizul Hossain received 133 votes with the ‘Sunflower’ symbol, reports UNB.
