Bangladesh ranks 9th among Asian economies: ADB

Bangladesh has emerged as the ninth largest economy in Asia, excluding Japan, according to the latest data from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

With a nominal GDP of $450.5 billion in 2023, Bangladesh is also ranked as the second largest economy in South Asia, following India.

In the broader Asian region (excluding Japan), Bangladesh is positioned after China, India, South Korea, Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
