DB arrests drug trader with 83kg cannabis in Demra

The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested a suspected drug trader with 83 kilograms of cannabis and seized a private car in the city's Demra area yesterday.
According to DMP media and public relations division press release issued here today saying that the DB team under Lalbagh Division arrested Md Hannan, 35 during a drive.
It said a team of the Organized Crime and Car Theft Prevention Unit conducted the drive in Sanarpar area under Demra Police Station at around 7:10 pm September 17.
During the drive, police arrested Hannan and recovered 83 kilograms of cannabis and sized a private car from his possession, the DMP said.
A case has been filed against the arrested person with Demra Police Station and produced him before a court, it added, reports BSS.
